Russia is very much in all our minds this weekend although, sadly, not for musical reasons. So maybe this is the moment to step back a hundred plus years – world affairs were no more stable, but at least great music was being made. And some of it will be being played by Madeleine Mitchell and her London Chamber Ensemble on Sunday evening:
- Borodin String Quartet No. 2 D major
- Ravel – String quartet in F major
- Works by Rimsky Korsakov and Liadov from Les Vendredis
For more on all the pieces to be played, see earlier posts.
6.30 – 7.45pm Sunday 27th February – Highgate School Chapel
You can book tickets here or pay on the door.
March 10th – Korros Ensemble and Elizabeth Poston – postponed
I am afraid that circumstances beyond out control have meant that we have had to postone the Korros concert which we hope will now happen in early summer.
I will be in touch with those who have already booked either to arrange a refund or to transfer their booking to the new date once that is confirmed.
