A taster from the Voice concert on November 6th

If you were unable to join us in Highgate Chapel on November 6th – or if you would like to listen again to Emily, Victoria and Clemmie – here is a little taster.

Bien m’ont Amour entrepris – ‘Love has me in its grip’ – an anonymous song from 13th century France – followed by:

Hildegard’s Favus Distillans – ‘A dripping honeycomb’

You will not be surprised to hear that they were extremely well received and we very much hope that they will come back and sing for us again. Meanwhile, keep an eye out as, next year, SOMM Recordings will be releasing an album of their programme, ‘Hildegard Transfigured: a medieval trance for the 21st Century’.

A busy musical weekend

Meanwhile, don’t forget that there is a feast of chamber music on the weekend of the 3rd of December.

Islington Festival directors Joana Ly and Martin André will be giving a piano and violin recital to raise money for the 2022 Islington festival which is already well into its early planning phase.
For all details and to book tickets see the revamped site here.

The weekend of the 3rd December is also filled with no less than six concerts as part of the Highgate International Chamber Music Festival including Mozart, Messaien, Dvořák , Weinberg, Prokofiev, Mendelssohn and many more.
