Sunday 22nd – lunchtime concert

Don’t miss out – Sunday 22nd at 1pm –

Guildhall School of Music and Drama scholarship students Nel Begley and Paul Edis will be singing a range of songs that are close to their hearts – and ours – by 20th century jazz greats including Cole Porter, Thelonious Monk and Burt Bacharach.

If you want to have a listen, check in to YouTube to hear them performing at the GSMD last year.

1pm sharp for a glass of Bucks Fizz and an hour of great music – £15 only.

Book here or pay on the door.

London Chamber Ensemble Beethoven concert last Friday

Our Friday evening concert was a sell out success. Enjoyed by everyone – including Ginger Boris. He appeared in the middle of the second movement, surveyed the seating options and then installed himself in the front row of the stalls – on the lap of our retired vet.

Ruth, who was sitting behind him and took this picture, said that he was listening attentively to the music. ‘Occasionally his ears would twitch when certain louder notes (higher ones I think)  were being played.’

More on the concert coming very soon.

Meanwhile – Diary note. Tuesday 7th March

Harp recital with Camilla Pay.

Camilla, as you may remember, is part of the Korros Ensemble who gave us such a delightful concert last July. She intrigued us that evening, talking about how under-appreciated the harp is as an instrument. So we invited her to come and show off its paces for us.

Programme and booking details coming very soon.
