Back on January 22nd we had a great lunchtime concert at the Highgate Society’s hall in the heart of Highgate village – Guildhall School of Music and Drama scholarship student Nel Begley and her pianist friend Paul Edis.
For those of you who didn’t make it, here are a few short extracts – designed to make you sorry that you missed the concert! But if you want to hear more, just log into their Instagram feeds (above) and follow the links.
Hoagy Carmichael’s The Nearness of You, Jerome Remick’s Bye Bye Blackbird and Fred Ahlert’s I’m going to write myself a letter. Real 20th century greats – beautifully rendered!
