I headed home yesterday afternoon through the wood to a chorus – no a cacophony – of parakeets and crows. I am sure someone will berate me for being unappreciative but, oh where are the tuneful trills of spring?…

Anyhow, emerging from the woods I thought I heard someone singing in the distance, so I followed the sound and in due course ended up at the very top of the heath near where a guitar trio was just starting up.
Just warming up they said, before moving up the the high view point above Kenwood, where they play every Sunday. And very pleasant it was too.
However, you may have noticed, as they were playing a tall figure in a somewhat striking white one piece emerge from the background and say hello. This was Dave Elvis. And Dave Elvis, who is 77 he told me, has been impersonating Elvis for many years so successfully that this week he will feature on Channel 5! So just in case you don’t catch him, here is a tastette.
Meanwhile, fingers crossed for at least dry weather on the 9th for our jazz session in the garden.
