This list is primarily for events happening at Hampstead Lane, the Highgate School Chapel or the Highgate Society, but we may also occasionally include other performances by artists who have played for us or which have some local relevance.

Monday 2nd February – 6pm in Highgate School
The London Chamber Ensemble will be performing Charles’Wood’s Highgate Quartet – in Highgate School! Wood is believed to have written the quartet after visiting the school, where his brother William served as Music Master.

Vermeer Chamber Concerts – Sijie Chen plays Telemann, von Westhoff, J.S. Bach, Enescu, Kreisler and Ysaÿe.

Thursday 26th February – Hampstead Lane
Nathaniel Mander and La Pompadour return to Hampstead Lane with a programme of music that might have been played at the court of the King Louis XV. This concert is now sold out but there is a waiting list.

An hour with Noel Coward. William Godfree will be bringing ‘the Master’ to life with his songs and tales from his star spangled life.

Tuesday 28th April – Hampstead Lane
From the aulos to the oboe, the lyre to the concert harp.
Harpist Hugh Webb and oboist Melinda Maxwell will take us from the aulos, the ancient Greek double pipe, and the lyre, instrument of Apollo, up through the ages. Stopping off briefly with Marin Marais and CPE Bach, skipping two centuries to Debussy and Ravel and arriving at a new work for harp and oboe by Simon Holt.

21st June – Hampstead Lane – Garden opening for the National Gardens Scheme
We will be opening both the main garden and our Growing Garden for the National Gardens Scheme again this year – lots of home made scones and cakes – and, I am delighted to say, Ian Baker and his splendid saxophone quartet who played for us last year. More details to come in due course.
