January concerts

To dispel your post Christmas blues we have two concerts in January to lift your spirits.

Concert No 1.
13th January at 33 Hampstead Lane

Madeleine Mitchell and the London Chamber Ensemble

Herbert Howells Luchinushka (Lament on a Russian folktune)
Beethoven String Quartet No 15 in A minor op.132

6.30pm for a drink with the concert starting at 7. Followed by wine of every colour and a tasty and nourishing buffet supper. And if this weather continues we could even be looking out on my snow-covered fairy lit garden!

Concert No. 2
22nd January – Highgate Society at 10a South Grove

Nel Begley and Paul Edis

At midday on Sunday 22nd jazz singer Nel Begley, now completing her scholarship studies at the Guildhall School of Music, and fellow jazzer, pianist Paul Edis, will be wowing us with a range of songs that are close to their – and our –  hearts. Including works by jazz greats such as Cole Porter, Thelonious Monk and Burt Bacharach.

12 noon – Sunday 22nd January 10a South Grove

    i hope to discover on the 22nd whether i am likely to be driving by the 13th. if so, i hope to join you but i can’t commit myself at present
