Baroque at the Edge

I am not quite sure how I got onto Baroque at the Edge’s mailing list, but I am delighted that I did – and wanted to pass on the link to any of you who do not already know about their Festival.

This would normally take place at LSO St Luke’s but, obviously, this year it migrated on line. However, this does have the advantage that, even if you missed the festival itself which happened in January, all the concerts will be available on line (Cost £10) until the end of March. Check in to the What’s On page of the site for the programme and to buy tickets.

And, as far as live events go, all is not lost as the festival is also staging a series of interactive Zoom events on Saturday afternoons throughout February – cost £5 each.

  • February 6th – Robin Bigwood: Unnatural sounds – a history of synthesized music
  • February 13th – Nicholas Mulroy: Music in sight – instruments and musicality in art
  • February 20th – Joanna MacGregor interviewed by Fiona Talkington
  • February 27th – Rachel Podger: Baroque music as speech, continued …

See you there!
