Strauss and Mozart on the 27th – and – Instagram!

The programme for our next concert in the Highgate School Chapel – on April 27th – will include two major sonatas plus pieces by the hugely talented Lili Boulanger, an early victim of intestinal tuberculosis, and the all but forgotten German composer, Luise Adolpha le Beau. Our players are Joana Ly (violin) and Martin André (piano), founders of the Islington Festival.

Mozart’s Sonata No. 27 in G major
Lili Boulanger – Nocturne and Cortège
Luise Adolpha le Beau – Romance
Strauss Sonata for Violin in E-flat Major

Booking is already open here.

And here are Joana and Martin playing the Strauss at their fundraising concert for their 2022 festival back in December. As you can see, this is a seriously demanding piece for both players!

And this is the first concert that we will be promoting on our new Instagram feed – SalonsMusicales.

I am not sure how many of you are on Instagram but I have just been spooling through the database and followed any of you that I could find to follow.

Please do follow us and Like or Comment on our posts. It would be lovely for all of our musicisans if we were able to build a good following. This would enable us to promote all of their work after these last two horribly difficult years with so few opportunities to perform.
