Only a week to go….

Friday 13th January at 6.30pm – book here

Herbert Howells Luchinushka (Lament on a Russian folktune)
Beethoven String Quartet No 15 in A minor op.132

with The London Chamber Ensemble

and then supper…….

I have been mulling the menu – one of my finer vegan smoked tofu and black lentil dishes with chestnuts, French beans and artichoke hearts?
Thinly sliced roast beef with horseradish on paper thin rye bread – always a favourite?
Maybe some wonderful smoked mackerel from Pinneys’ in Orford?
Some creamy butter bean hummus?
And, obviously, a fine cheese board……

Washed down with pink, white or red wine – or elderflower and ginger cordial for those who prefer.

How can you resist?……  Well, don’t……

Just book here!

And don’t forget our next Sunday Lunchtime concert.

22nd January – Highgate Society at 10a South Grove

Nel Begley and Paul Edis

At midday on Sunday 22nd jazz singer Nel Begley, now completing her scholarship studies at the Guildhall School of Music, and fellow jazzer, pianist Paul Edis, will be wowing us with a range of songs that are close to their – and our –  hearts. Including works by jazz greats such as Cole Porter, Thelonious Monk and Burt Bacharach.
Check in here if you want to hear a clip of Nel singing.

12 noon – Sunday 22nd January 10a South Grove

A glass of Bucks fizz from 12 and concert at 12.15

£15 to include unlimited Bucks fizz!     Book your tickets here.

Sorry Michele but none of us can make it to the 13th concert for varying reasons. I do hope it is well supported never- the – less. It would have been nice. I myself am temporarily indisposed. The one on 22nd sounds good also.

    Happy New Year!

Oh dear, Elizabeth – I am so sorry to hear that you are not well – I do hope it is only temporary. Also sorry not to see you on Friday but hopefully at the next one – Camilla’s harp recital on the 7th March – more details very soon. Happy new year to you too – Michelle
