The festival is now in full swing – and what a fabulous week for it!
I am off to the Tale of Two Governesses tonight celebrating the career of soprano Jennifer Vyvyan for whom Benjamin Britten created the role of the governess in The Turn of the Screw – and whose family live in Highgate!
Meanwhile last minute bookings still available for our two concerts in the Highgate School chapel – although we will be selling tickets on the door – where you can also pick up your free glass of wine!
Thursday 16th – 6.30pm at the Highgate School Chapel
Balladeste – Preetha Narayanan (violin) and Tara Franks (cello). Combining contemporary minimalism, Indian classical and folk, they will be playing all original repertoire from their albums ‘Relic’ and ‘Beyond Breath’.

18th June – 1pm at the Highgate School Chapel
Viola recital with Charles Bodman Whittacker and Roy Howat at the piano. To include, Brahms, Frank Bridges and the UK premier of a piece by French composer Eric Tanguy.

Highgate Society Sunday Lunchtime concert
And then on Sunday the Highgate Society is having a special festival lunchtime concert with Highgate residents, The Reliables!
