Scarcely had the metaphorical ink dried on my last post than I received an email from a good friend and Salons supporter to alert me to a concert to be premiered on December 23rd at 7pm and streamed directly from The Solti Studios.
Beethoven’s Fidelio – a unique full length piano arrangement for four hands.
Played by Joseph Havlat and Chad Vindon
on the the special Fabbrini engineered Steinway piano, originally owned by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli and later acquired by Sir Georg Solti.
The concert will be available, on the
Solti Studio Concerts YouTube channel
as from 7pm on the 23rd December –
and then as often as you wish to return to it.
More please….
If anyone else knows of any online performances taking place over Christmas or on into what promises to be a pretty grim January, please let me know and I will put the word about.
Meanwhile, another presciently appropriate Christmas cartoon from Christopher – this one drawn to celebrate our move from a printed magazine to an on line website – what we are now all having to learn to do when we want to listen to music.
